Non-Union Actors “The Passion Play – The Musical” 92nd Season Opportunity to become part of a NY metropolitan-area tradition, the 92nd season of "The Passion Play - The Musical." Park Performing Arts Center, located at 560 32nd St., Union City, NJ 07087 (10-minute bus ride from midtown Manhattan), is casting for the musical adaptation of the historic play. Rehearses evenings and weekends in Union City, NJ starting on or about January 24; performances Sat & Sun afternoons Mar 17 – March 31 and Thursday morning March 29. Carl Gonzalez, dir.
Seeking all types and ethnicities: 8 male singer-actors; 8 female singer-actors; 2 child singer-actors; 13 male actors (non-singing); ensemble.
There will be open calls on Saturday, January 13 from 11 am to 3 pm and on Wednesday January 17 from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm at the Park Theatre. For the auditions, prepare a short classical/semi-classical monologue. Singer-actors should also prepare a ballad. Bring a picture and resume. Accompanist provided. Musical Director Park Performing Arts Center, 560 32nd St., Union City, NJ 07087 (10-minute bus ride from midtown Manhattan), is seeking a Musical Director for the 92nd season of "The Passion Play - The Musical" directed by Carl Gonzalez. Paid position. Rehearses evenings and weekends in Union City, NJ starting in late January. Note that the score is pre-recorded so the Musical Director’s job is limited to teaching the music to the cast and assuring the quality of the vocal performances through opening. Performances are Sat & Sun afternoons Mar 17 – March 31 and Thursday morning March 29. Note that the MD may not have to be present at all performances.
